Well shucks, if we’d known all it would take to fill the river back up was for us to go to the trouble of suspending tubing because of low water, we would’ve done it earlier! But we know the river level changes constantly, so we’re going to start opening up tubing a few days at a time, based on the current flow and weather forecast, with updates on the current status on Facebook and here on the blog. We hope that will give as many people as possible a chance to experience our unique and rugged tubing adventure while keeping it safe and enjoyable for all! We’d still like to encourage everyone to consider taking a kayak or canoe trip instead - remember that for most people kayaks are actually easier than river tubes because they’re more maneuverable and can’t be popped! Kayaks and canoes are also available for reservation further in advance than tubing may be. Either way, we’re looking forward to seeing you on the “undiscovered French Broad” soon!
As of now, tubing is available for booking through Thursday of this week. You can book kayak or canoe trips of 4, 7, 10 or 13 miles for this weekend right now!
