Marshall Maddox Military Discount

Lazy Otter Outfitters honors active and retired members of the military with a 20% discount on the cost of their trip (discount applies only to service members, not the entire group). Sgt. Marshall Maddox enlisted in the Army in 1966 and served in Korea from 1967 to 1969. In 1970 he volunteered for a tour of duty in Vietnam and served as an infantryman with Company D, 5-60th Infantry - 9th Infantry Division. His final two years in the Army he spent as a Drill Sergeant at Fort Leonard Wood, Montana with Company B, 13-2nd Infantry. Among the decorations he earned were the Bronze Star for Valor, Combat Infantryman Badge, and the Air Medal. In 1980 he joined the National Guard in Fall City, Nebraska and served many roles with the Guard over the years. He was elected mayor of Falls City, Nebraska in 1997 and was reelected in 2002 and among other accomplishments was instrumental in establishing a veterans' memorial in the town park. Maddox passed away at the age of 59 from cancer.
