In May of 2018 western North Carolina experienced an unusual summer flood on the French Broad

After water levels receded we paddled 11 miles of the river from the Horse Shoe public access to Westfeldt Park to make sure no new obstructions or other safety hazards had occurred during the flood. The water level during this video was around 11' at Blantyre, still several feet above normal for this time of year.
